In addition to chewing on straps, Jake does not stop eating. He eats about a cup of fruits and vegetables mixed with oatmeal cereal and yogurt about 3-4 times a day and is still hungry for milk about every 3-4 hours. He is a hungry hungry little man. When he went in for his 6 month doctor apt a few weeks ago he was already 17 lbs and 26 inches long. Typically a baby should triple their birth weight at a year, Jake has just about done that at 6 months. He has gained more in the past few weeks, but I haven't gotten a chance to weigh him.
Lola has been having fun at Doggie Daycare and making lots of new friends. The daycare that she goes to has a camper cam that you can check in on the pups throughout the day. Lola is either constantly running or watching over all the other dogs on the doggie bridge.
The renovation continues. Part of the floor is done, part of the cabinets are up, part of the electrical is working. The wood floor still needs to be patched and refinished, the bathroom, lighting, appliances, granite, backsplash, painting, and molding all still need to be completed as well. Its a work in progress. The patio is finished, but since it has been raining so much the plants and grass still have to be put down, so the yard is still a mud pit. When Lola is not at school she has been going on lots and lots of walks. Until the back yard is done she is going to be putting in many more miles. If you are one of the few who have seen Lola try and get a bath, you know puppy tubby time is not an option and the wet ground would be much to tempting for her pesty little paws.

Jake loves sitting up in his new stroller and watching all the people and the cars in town.
Jake likes to always be moving and love to exercise in anyway he can. Helping Mommy with her leg work out is lots of fun !

Jake has been practicing all his wrestling moves to show Daddy. Elmo makes a great wrestling partner. Here he is trying out his triangle choke.
Elmo is a a great and tasty friend.
Jake loves to help tip the cup while you are drinking. Sippy cups are also lots of messy fun.

Jake has been hitting lots of milestones. He has been sitting, and scooting forward. He tries to crawl forward and can get one knee forward and then scoot the second one half way before getting confused.

Jake can only scoot backwards, which leaves him in some tricky spots.
This month Jake also got a new cousin. The beautiful Lillian Roseanne. She is a sweet little peanut with big beautiful hands and feet. She is a fantastic snuggler. Jake can not wait to play with her.

When Jake actually naps he generally will sleep through any of the construction, so long as he is next to Mommy, and holding my teeth.
Naps are not only short but few and far between with this little guy, but he sure does wake up happy from them.
Lola's last dance in the ivy. She made sure to sniff every piece of equipment while it was here, and then climb halfway into the engine of the digger. OH Lola.
