10 Months
Jake is getting huge. In the last month he had his 9 month appointment and was told he had to switch to formula and food. He switched to formula, but has given up on any sort of solid food. He also has decided that he will no longer hold a bottle or a sippy cup. He is perfectly capable of both and will hold his own cup or bottle when no one is looking, but much prefers to snuggle and have someone else do all the work.
Jake is still working on teeth coming in. He now has 5 that are fully through, one that has been seconds from popping through for the past two weeks, and 4 more that are well on their way in. Needless to say, some days he is a little fussier than others.
Jake can now wave hello and bye-bye. He can say Lola, and Hello Lola ( which may actually be NO LOLA ). He can say " Grandma" but pretty much only when he is trying to pull Grandma's glasses off her face and she says "you can have them if you say Grandma" otherwise he just turns around and crawls away when he is asked to say or do anything.
Jake got a new play table that has a little lap top, book, piano, phone and book on it. It plays music, makes noises, and speaks spanish. Lola also loves it. We are still working on her sharing skills. She loves to flip the lap top open and shut to make noises or press the button to make the phone ring. Maybe she would listen better if we spoke to her in spanish, but I am sure she doesn't understand "NO" in any language.
Mommy finally got in gear and bought some things to decorate the room for the little guy. He seems quite pleased to not feel like he is in a psych ward.
First Thanksgiving. I looked high and low to find a "My First Thanksgiving" t-shirt that would fit the little guy. No dice. BUT I did find this gem. He also has a hat that looks like a roasted turkey, but it was too big for his little noggin and he could pull it right off before I could snap a shot.
Jake got to see Lilly. What a lovely little lady !
Jake showed Lilly how to ride his motorcycle
What are you doing in there Lilly ?
Jake figured out how to let Lola out of her room. Nothing is safe with this tag team.
Lola got yelled at for pulling the foam pads off Grandma's good glass table. She gets yelled at a lot so I never connected the dots that this might have been the reason the covers were off.
Jake will only stay in his walker when he is sprinting it down the driveway. In the house he likes to push it around and try to take it for a ride.
Swimming in the dogs' bowl lands the little guy in the pack n play with a cracker so that Mommy can clean up the puddle
Jake found the jingle bells that used to go on the door handles and has not put them down since.
Lola had a great time helping Grandma with the holiday decorations. She was feeling very festive and wore the cat's old antlers.
Grandma was a little less thrilled than Lola about her participation. Lola may be looking for some part time work pulling Santa's sleigh.
Jake was a little more helpful.
Jake 10 Months. Each month it continues to becomes more and more difficult to get these pictures.
