Daddy had been business tripping for a bit, and Lola did a great job of keeping the house in order. When my brothers and I were younger and The Gip would go away my mother would have us sleep in sweat pants to wear to school the next day and then we could come home for lunch. I am happy to say that this is a routine that can be practiced throughout the ages. It was modified to lots of yoga pants, cereal for dinner and walking trips to the coffee shop for lunch. Jake is still on a liquid diet and wearing footies so his fashion regime wasn't affected all too much. To be honest, neither was mine, but at least I could say it was for a reason.
Jake got weighed earlier this week on our scale at home and he was tipping the scale at 13 lbs. He is huge. He is getting some pudgy cheeks and a melon head just in time for summer. Crawling has not progressed much which I think is because the little guy is starting to teeth. Now when he does tummy time he tries to crawl for a moment, then starts to drool, and finally gives up and chews on his hands. He is also taking naps in his swing and pack n play which means I can start getting things done around the house and still have lots of snuggle time with the little guy.
Having fun with rattles
"When is it going to be my turn ?"
Lola's chair is a comfy chair
Lola likes to cheer Jake on when he is trying to crawl
Lola tries to stay on her bed to give Jake room to maneuver
But sometimes the excitement is just too much for her to handle
Hands are delicious
So happy tummy time is over
Because the weather is getting warmer we had to get rid of Jakes fleece sack because he was sweating so much on our walks. He is now big enough to use the stroller harness which makes kicking his feet around and stretching much easier.
Getting ready for a Big Boy walk with Lola

Hanging out with Mr. Peanut
Someone's hat is getting a little small
